Retire worry free with a Roth IRA because distributions are tax-free! Since
a Roth IRA contribution is made with after-tax dollars, no taxes are due
when you withdraw the funds at your retirement.
Roth IRAs can also be used as a savings tool for purchasing your first
home; up to $10,000 can be withdrawn tax-free on a one-time basis.
Contribute up to $5,000 annually if your Modified Adjusted Gross Income
(MAGI) does not exceed $110,000 for single individuals and $160,000 if
married, filing jointly. Individuals age 50 or older may be eligible
to make an additional catch up contribution of $1,000 per year, as long as they
haven't reached their 70½ year
Distributions from a Roth IRA are subject to certain restrictions.
